Mata ke Navratri 2023

Mata ke Navratri is a Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of the goddess Durga. It is celebrated for nine days in the Hindu month of Ashwin, which usually falls in September or October. The festival is also known as Navaratri or Durga Puja.

During Mata ke Navratri, people worship the nine forms of goddess Durga, who represents different aspects of the divine feminine energy. The nine forms are Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri.

People observe fasts, perform special prayers, and offer flowers, fruits, and sweets to the goddess. They also organize cultural programs, processions, and community feasts during the festival. On the tenth day, which is known as Vijayadashami or Dussehra, people celebrate the victory of good over evil by burning effigies of the demon king Ravana.

Mata ke Navratri is a significant festival in the Hindu calendar and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion across India and in other parts of the world where there are Hindu communities.
